What happens

Mrs. Victor Goode and her neighbor Mrs. Harris discuss a crash heard in Harris's attic, but the talk soon turns to Uncle Fletcher, who has been bringing Mr. Sproul back home after he wanders out of the house. Mrs. Harris objects strongly, saying the old man needs fresh air and sunshine but is being kept indoors against his will. Sade and Mrs. Harris argue over whether Fletcher is acting properly, and the dispute grows heated, with Mrs. Harris insisting that Fletcher must leave her father alone. Fletcher, Sade and Mr. Sproul take part in the tense exchange, and the afternoon ends with a confrontation between Mrs. Harris and the household.

A small house on the same block in the late afternoon, moving between the living room, the kitchen and the street outside.

Characters: Mrs. Harris, Sade, Fletcher, Mr. Sproul, Mrs. Goode

Listen for: Mrs. Harris's objections to how Fletcher has been bringing her father home, and Sade's responses to her.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
