What happens

Vic Good and his son Rush arrive home from work to find that neighbor Mrs. Corkle is coming over to borrow a cup of sugar, and her husband Vernon soon follows her into the house. The family's conversation turns to Vernon's injured foot after a garbage wagon horse stepped on it, and to Mrs. Corkle's mother, who has taken up professional football. The two households spend the evening trading jokes and small talk in the living room. The guide draws on the first part of the episode from the Vic and Sade series, which aired on November 20, 1945.

The living room of a small house halfway up the next block, late afternoon into evening.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
