What happens

Vic and Sade is an evening domestic comedy about a small household halfway up the next block. Sade and Vic are preparing to leave the house to visit friends, but Uncle Fletcher arrives and insists they wait while he speaks with Jimmy Custard, a city official collecting statistics for the city hall archive. The transcript covers only the opening section, in which the family hurries about its chores and Uncle Fletcher complicates their plans by lining up Jimmy's interview in their living room. The guide does not go further than this opening portion of the episode. The episode first aired on November 21, 1945, and features Bernardine Flynn and Bill Idelson in the lead roles.

The living room and hallway of the Gook household, a small house in the evening, with the family preparing to leave for a visit.

Characters: Vic, Sade, Uncle Fletcher, Jimmy Custard, Ruthie, Ted, Catherine

Listen for: Uncle Fletcher's insistence that Jimmy Custard can interview him in the family's living room, and the family's attempts to get out the door on time.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
