What happens

Victor Gutt and his wife Sade, with their son Rushton, discuss a newspaper reporter's scheme to have a few local men sleep in the courthouse yard in late November. Uncle Fletcher, Dwight Scott and Roy Dulpino hear of the plan and argue over it, while Sadie and Victor disagree about the idea. The neighbors are drawn into the bickering as the men look for volunteers to join the stunt. The series, first heard in the 1940s, is a radio comedy about daily life in a small town, with Bernardine Flynn and Bill Idelson in the leading roles.

A small house halfway up the next block in a small town, in the early evening, with the courthouse yard nearby.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
