What happens

Uncle Fletcher visits the Gildersleeve-style household of Vic and Sade in the evening, still sulking after a disagreement with Sade that afternoon. Sade tries hard to be sweet and pleasant, hoping to smooth things over. Fletcher pays little attention to her and instead asks young Russell for a book of maps, studying routes to a string of distant towns in several states. Sade grows uneasy, suspecting he is trying to frighten her by hinting at a move, and the household reacts to his unexplained interest in travel. This episode of Vic and Sade, first broadcast on July 13, 1944, stars Bernardine Flynn and Bill Idelson.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
