What happens

Vic and Sade is an old-time radio comedy in which a careless remark spreads through town and grows into a fuss. Vic repeats a small quarrel between Sade and Miss Raiser over the color of Mr. Gumpox's eyes, and Mr. Gumpox takes the idea to heart. He begins calling on Miss Raiser, who finds his constant attention on his eyes tiresome. Vic and Russell discuss the matter, and Sade is reproved for her gossip. Mr. Gumpox then telephones the household and announces he is coming over.

A small house halfway up the next block, in the late afternoon, with a garbage route and a neighborhood picture show nearby.

Characters: Vic, Sade, Russell, Mr. Gumpox, Miss Raiser, Mr. Gruber

Listen for: Mr. Gumpox's increasingly absurd delight in his own eyes, and Russell's dry remarks about the gossip.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
