What happens

Russell and a friend hatch a plan to get back at Mom, who loves to make visitors sit through her snapshots. They pass off a bag of photographs they found at a second-hand shop as the family's own, inventing names and dull facts for the strangers pictured. Each time Mom looks at a photo, the boys make up something new to say about the people in it. The scheme is set in Vic and Sade, a radio serial, and it is broadcast in mid-November 1943, with Bernardine Flynn and Bill Idelson in the lead roles.

A small house in a quiet town on a mild November afternoon, where Russell and his friend plan their prank in the living room and kitchen.

Characters: Russell, Mom, Ike Kneesuffer

Listen for: The boys inventing silly names and dull biographies for the people in the photographs while Mom looks on.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
