What happens

Vic and Sade, the household serial set in the small house halfway up the next block, follows Vic and Sade Gook after a card game with Ted and Ruthie Stembottom ends late at night. Over bedtime talk, Sade and Vic discuss an old friend, Fat Johnson, who has come back to town for a visit and looked much slimmer than they remembered. Sade mentions a reunion of their old Warriors for the Right Sunday school class, whose members include Rooster Davis and L.W. Trout. Their remarks on the passing years turn wistful as Vic drifts toward sleep on the davenport. The broadcast is from 1944 and aired on NBC, CBS and Mutual; the lead actors are Bernardine Flynn and Bill Idelson.

The living room of the Gook house, halfway up the next block, at about 10:30 in the evening.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
