What happens

Sade Goode is at home in the small house halfway up the next block when a steady stream of visitors arrives, each walking into the kitchen and calling out without ringing. Among them are the milkman, the garbage man, a gas heater reader, the grocery boy and the landlord, and each one interrupts her chores. Her uncle Fletcher Reich drops in to chat and to share some talk about Kentucky politics. A city water inspector named Gertner comes to call on the household, and then a city cobblestalker named Jimmy arrives as well. Sade is left complaining that she cannot get anything accomplished, and the visits keep coming.

Listen for: Sade listing the parade of visitors who walked into her kitchen that morning.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
