What happens

Sade Baker sits at home in the evening with her husband Vic, tallying up the small sums that friends and neighbors owe her. She lists debts from Ruthie, Miss Call, Miss Donahue, Miss Otto, Miss Headles and the Greek at the lunch counter, along with a four-cent overcharge from the Cleberger store. Sade relays the reasons behind each debt, often comic, and the couple add up the total, which comes to eighty-two cents. The transcript breaks off before the episode finishes.

The Baker living room in a small house in the town, one evening at about 7:30.

Listen for: Sade's running tally of what everyone owes her, and the penny-pinching exchanges as the couple add up the total.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
