What happens

Vic and Sade follows Uncle Fletcher Rush, who is staying with Vic and Sade Gook while on vacation. After supper, Uncle Fletcher tells Vic a rambling story about a wedding in Muskegon, Michigan, and Vic keeps interrupting and trading tales. Sade grows tired of the constant stories and advice, and wonders aloud why her guest would take a break from his holiday. The episode is a 1944 installment of the NBC daytime comedy series Vic and Sade, starring Bernardine Flynn and Bill Idelson, and it fits the family's usual small-town humor.

The living room of the Gook house, halfway up the next block, in a small town, on a hot summer evening.

Characters: Vic Gook, Sade Gook, Uncle Fletcher Rush, Russell, Peltarambli

Listen for: Uncle Fletcher's rambling Muskegon wedding story, and Sade's growing frustration with his constant stories and advice.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
