What happens

Victor Gooper and his wife Sade are at home in the evening when their son Willie announces that his Sunday school teacher, Miss Nagel, plans to tear up Lee Street single-handed the next morning. Bluetooth Johnson telephones with news and the family discusses the odd plan, learning that the regular street gang is busy elsewhere and that Miss Nagel volunteered for the job. Willie asks permission to skip school to watch, and the family debates the matter as more calls come in with gossip about her strength and the crew's assigned roles. Vic and Sade consider whether the spectacle is worth missing class for.

The living room of the Gooper house on a winter evening, with Lee Street and its street repair as the subject of discussion.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
