What happens

Vic Good is about to leave for a special evening lodge meeting, where an official from Chicago is in town. He needs his ceremonial regalia and a memorized greeting, so he sends his son Rush and young Sade on a scramble around town and through the house to gather the pieces. Each piece of the outfit turns out to have been loaned to a neighbor for a Christmas decoration or costume, and Vic's frustration grows as the hunt goes on. Meanwhile his wife Sade has to phone a friend to cancel a card game, and Vic tries to pass along his greeting over the telephone. The scene is set in the small house in the next block on an afternoon in the family's living room.

The small house in the next block, late afternoon, the living room and upstairs bedrooms, with a telephone in the house.

Listen for: Vic's mounting frustration as each piece of his lodge regalia turns up on loan to a neighbor, and the telephone call in which he tries to get Hank to recite an official greeting.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
