What happens
Vic and Sade await a visit from El Vogel Drum, a traveling official of the Sacred Stars of the Milky Way lodge who has been described to them as an important and distinguished man. Vic is excited and asks his son Rush and his wife Sade to help him prepare, while Sade worries about what to serve and how everyone should look. Their plans become muddled when Uncle Fletcher arrives with an old friend, Batch Perny, and the household begins to confuse the two visitors' identities. The Vic and Sade radio serial, a daytime drama of small-town life, first aired on 1946-08-01 and stars Bernardine Flynn and Bill Idelson. Much of the scene is built on mistaken names and the characters' eagerness to impress.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
