What happens

Vic and Sade is set in a small house on a quiet block, where Sade and her son Russell sit on the back porch waiting for dinner. Russell receives a letter from his uncle Hank, who is vacationing near Sick River Junction, Missouri. Inside is a check for eight dollars, which Hank says repays money he owes Russell. Russell is delighted that Hank is finally paying something back, but he keeps a careful tally in a little book and wonders how much Hank still owes. Sade tries to keep the peace while Russell grows heated about the debt. The episode is a light domestic comedy of small household grievances.

A small house halfway up the block, on the back porch and in the kitchen, at around noon on a summer day, with Hank writing from Sick River Junction, Missouri.

Characters: Sade, Russell, Vic, Hank, Bluetooth Johnson

Listen for: Russell reading Hank's letter and discovering the eight-dollar check, followed by the argument over how much Hank still owes.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
