What happens

Vic and Sade run their busy household on a Wednesday morning in November 1943. Sade has mapped out a long list of chores, but her plans keep getting interrupted: a letter arrives, a phone call comes in, and her son Russell asks for help with a Sunday school matter. Mr. Bar calls about selling his stingyberry jam to a club, and Sade talks through a grocery order with Irvin at the store, sorting out a banana and a few other items. Through these small interruptions, Sade tries to keep up with her work while the morning drifts away from her. The episode is part of the Vic and Sade series, broadcast on NBC, CBS and Mutual, with Bernardine Flynn and Bill Idelson in the leading roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
