What happens
In the Vic and Sade living room, Sade helps her son Russell with a composition on birds for school, while the two of them trade chatter about neighbors, a newspaper item about Tom Tom Cordova and a hat, and a phone call from Arthur Gump. Russell struggles to fill his paper and reads out a list of birds he has heard about, while Sade offers suggestions and gossip about the neighbourhood. The episode is part of the Vic and Sade series, first broadcast on 8 November 1943, with Bernardine Flynn and Bill Idelson in the leading roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
