What happens

At home one evening, Vic, Sade, and Rush pass the time while Sade reports the school gossip she has heard from Miss Call. Vic's son Willie grumbles that nobody listens when he tries to tell his own stories. The family talks through a string of tales about the high school: a principal scolded by the Board of Education for a newspaper photograph, a teacher fired over her jewelry, and a student who paid for butter patties he had hidden in his mashed potatoes. Sade and Willie trade stories and complaints while Rush mostly listens. The episode is part of the Vic and Sade series, first broadcast on February 27, 1940, starring Bernardine Flynn and Bill Idelson.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
