What happens

Sade Gookall keeps her household running on a cold morning when her husband Vic and their son Rush both try to skip their daily duties. Vic plans to watch a crew clean the Cutler Building downtown, and Rush wants to join him. Uncle Fletcher, the neighborhood gossip, tells them about the scene, and Sade and Ruthie Stembaum exchange news by telephone. Sade pushes back against both of them, and she and Rush argue over whether skipping work or school is any different. The episode is part of the Vic and Sade series, with Bernardine Flynn and Bill Idelson in the lead roles.

The Gookall house on a cold morning, and the Cutler Building downtown where a crew is cleaning the exterior.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
