Private detective Mike Waring, known as the Falcon, is hired by Peter Alexa to find Kay Davis, a woman who vanished from Los Angeles with money. Waring tracks her to New York, where she is seen at a boxing match with Nick Jones. Joey Hagan, an associate of Alexa, is then found dead in an alley behind Kay's apartment building. As the police and Alexa press Waring for answers, he begins to question the accounts each person gives him. The Adventures of the Falcon was a mutual broadcasting system series starring Les Tremayne, and this episode aired on February 20, 1949.

Characters: Mike Waring, Kay Davis, Nick Jones, Peter Alexa, Joey Hagan, Lieutenant Grayson

Listen for: Pay attention to who each character says they saw or knew, and how Mike Waring tests their stories against one another.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
