What happens

Jewelry thieves Ternez and Rickard rob a Fifth Avenue jewelry store in New York, then Ternez, while planning to fence the loot, clashes with Barkley and Rickard. Gloria Pace, who is engaged to Barkley, hires private detective Mike Waring to check on his finances and suspicious business dealings. Waring questions the people around Barkley and finds his story unravelling. Tomorrow, the Adventures of the Falcon, starring Les Tremaine, presents this episode, which first aired on November 1, 1948.

New York City, early evening and night, November 1948

Characters: Michael Waring, Gloria Pace, Bud Barkley, Greg Rickard, Ternez, Charlie Wearing

Listen for: Mike Waring's interview with Gloria Pace in her apartment, where she explains her doubts about Barkley's business dealings.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
