What happens
A paymaster at a lumber mill in East Texas disappears with $18,000 in company payroll money. Ranger Chase Pearson arrives to investigate, learning that the paymaster left the bank in the afternoon with the cash. As Pearson questions the logging crew working near the road that day, a nervous young helper hints at a possible accident, leading the ranger to suspect the money may not have been taken at all.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
