What happens

Two murders in different locations—one near the Rio Grande border and another in West Texas—prove to be connected when ballistics tests show both were killed with the same gun. Rangers Jase Pearson and Clyde Klein team up to investigate, discovering evidence of narcotics smuggling. They stake out crossing points along the border near Big Bend, hoping to catch the smugglers in action.

West Texas and the Rio Grande border region, 1948.

Characters: Jase Pearson, Clyde Klein, Captain Stinson, Nico, Sankir

Listen for: The Rangers' systematic detective work linking the two murders through ballistics evidence, and their patient stakeout operation along the remote border country.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
