What happens
A rancher named George Whelton is found dead in his hotel bathroom, apparently killed during a struggle. Texas Rangers Pearson and Morgan arrive to investigate, discovering evidence suggesting the killer was a large, powerful man who wiped away fingerprints but overlooked a clear print on the bathroom faucet.
A hotel, with the primary focus on Whelton's second-floor room and bathroom.
Characters: George Whelton, Sheriff, Jason Pearson, Clay Morgan, Desk Clerk, Mrs. Beale, Younger Man, Girl
Listen for: The Rangers' discovery of the fingerprint on the faucet and the white powder on the floor; Mrs. Beale's account of hearing three people in the room—an old man, a younger man with a deep voice, and a girl with a piercing laugh.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
