What happens

An elderly widow named Mrs. Agnes Howell comes to Bolton searching for a man named George Collie, who convinced her to invest her entire life savings of $6,000 in an oil venture, promising to turn it into $50,000. When she collapses from starvation at a local drugstore, Ranger Jase Pearson and Sheriff Ted Dryer learn that Collie vanished after taking her money a month ago. The Rangers recognize Collie as a con artist they've been tracking, and they begin investigating his movements in the nearby town of Minden.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
