What happens
A body is discovered dumped along a Texas highway, shot three times with a .38 caliber gun. Ranger Pearson investigates and determines the victim was likely driving the car from which he was thrown, possibly a New York-registered vehicle heading west toward El Paso. The ranger begins a methodical search along the western route, questioning residents and stopping at small towns to track down leads about the mysterious murder.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
