What happens

The night clerk at a hotel, Sid Tucker, is shot and robbed during what appears to be a holdup. The only clue is Sid's identification of his attacker as Johnny Stringer, a young and deadly outlaw. Britt and Sheriff Sam set out to track down Stringer, following his trail eastward from town after discovering the discarded money box along the way.

A western town hotel and the surrounding territory, late at night and into the following day

Listen for: The shooting and robbery at the hotel; Sid's identification of Johnny Stringer as his assailant; the discovery of the empty money box on the trail

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
