What happens

Detective Sam Spade arrives at an exclusive ski resort chateau in California after receiving a mysterious warning letter. A volatile group of guests assembles for the weekend, including the owner Rufus McLeod, his estranged wife Cora with her new boyfriend Paul Endicott, a ski instructor named Tozier Svenborg, and others. When Paul disappears and Spade discovers his body, the detective must uncover which guest is the killer before another shot is fired.
