What happens
Roger Voron, a homeless young man in Paris, accepts an old widow's offer of a meal in her fourth-floor apartment near the Bois de Boulogne. Her kindness turns sinister when he decides to rob her, and the story follows the crime's aftermath. Years later Voron is imprisoned awaiting transport to a penal colony, where his cellmate Bebele boasts of a murder he claims to have committed. The episode is part of the Police Reporter series, which presents dramatized true crime stories taken from police records, and the original air date and cast are not stated in the transcript.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
