What happens

Captain Sutherland and Detective Sloan of the Aurora police investigate the disappearance of Warren J. Lincoln, a greenhouse owner, after a neighbor reports blood-stained evidence in his house and yard. Lincoln's wife and her brother, whom the neighbors describe as quarrelsome, have apparently left, and the police find signs of violence in the bedroom. When Lincoln himself reappears at headquarters, he claims he was away on business and says he was kidnapped in Chicago. The detectives question his explanations and his account of threatening calls and letters. This episode of the Police Reporter series, a true murder mystery drama, is broadcast as the first in the series.
