What happens

Phil Harris and Alice Faye return home to California from a New York trip with their children and Frankie Remley. Their taxi driver refuses to leave until he is paid his fare, and Phil offers to sing for it instead. Back at the house, Alice and Phil discover their utilities have been shut off because Frankie forgot to mail the payment checks. Frankie and Remley then try tapping a telephone wire from a pole outside the house, and their clumsy attempt draws the attention of a nearby boy and then the police. The Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show aired on NBC on February 19, 1950.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
