What happens

Phil Harris, Alice Faye, Frankie Remley and Julius arrive at NBC in New York for a rehearsal, but Frankie is over an hour late. While waiting, the group bickers about Frankie's schemes, including a plan to sell hoarded water and a proposal to take over subway slot machines. Phil and Alice then wander the building searching for the right studio, stumbling into several wrong rooms. Phil ends up performing a song in a studio contest and wins a large prize, while their rehearsal is held up.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
