What happens

Phil Harris and Alice Faye's household is stuck with Myrtle McGursky, a female wrestler bound to them by a year's contract after Phil acquired it by accident. Myrtle insists on working for her keep, and her strength and appetite unsettle the family. Phil, Frankie Remley and Curly try to remove her from the house, and they bring her to the Rexall drugstore run by Mr. Scott, hoping he will give her a job. The episode is part of The Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show, which aired on NBC on December 4, 1949, with Phil Harris and Alice Faye in the leads, alongside Elliott Lewis and Gale Gordon.

Listen for: Myrtle's sheer strength and her insistence on earning her keep, and the bungled attempts to get rid of her

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
