What happens

Phil Harris decides to buy a blue mink coat as a Christmas present for his wife, Alice Faye, and brings his friend Frankie to the fur shop for advice. The shop's dealings prove dubious, and Phil's attempts to take his wife's measurements lead to comic trouble at home. Alice, meanwhile, has written a list of things she wants for Christmas. Phil Harris is the star of this NBC program, which aired on December 11, 1949, with Alice Faye as his co-star. Elliott Lewis and Gale Gordon also feature in the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
