What happens
Phil Harris, Alice Faye and their friends stage a benefit show in Encino, California, after Phil learns that the local community blood bank is badly short of donations. Phil proposes that admission be a pint of blood rather than money, and the evening features music, comedy routines and novelty numbers from the cast and local performers. The broadcast is part of The Phil Harris series, which aired on NBC on April 30, 1954, with Phil Harris, Alice Faye, Elliott Lewis and Gale Gordon in the lead roles. Along the way the family's home life and a few commercial messages for RCA Victor and RCA batteries are also heard.

Listen for: Phil's plan to trade admission tickets for pints of blood, and the lineup of novelty acts at the benefit show
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
