What happens
Connie Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High, deals with her landlady Mrs. Davis, who is practicing salesmanship by selling fire extinguishers around the neighborhood. At school, Principal Osgood Conklin has introduced a strict no-smoking rule, and Walter Denton, a student, has been expelled after being caught with a cigarette. Connie and Mr. Boynton, the chemistry teacher, try to get Walter reinstated by arguing his case with Mr. Conklin. The episode is one of the Our Miss Brooks singles, originally broadcast on CBS Radio on November 16, 1952, starring Eve Arden, Gale Gordon, Jeff Chandler and Richard Crenna.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
