What happens

Connie Brooks and her landlady Mrs. Davis take Minerva, Mrs. Davis's cat, to the veterinarian, where Minerva gives birth to eight kittens. Connie then tries to find homes for them, approaching Walter Denton, Mr. Boynton, Mr. Varnen and finally Principal Conklin. Each prospect has a reason to refuse, from pets already in the household to strong opinions about cats. Mrs. Conklin proves sympathetic, and Connie devises a plan involving a laundry basket and a pillow slip that quickly becomes complicated. Our Miss Brooks is a comedy series on CBS Radio, and this episode aired on March 9, 1952, starring Eve Arden, Gale Gordon, Jeff Chandler and Richard Crenna.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
