What happens
Miss Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High School, spends Christmas Eve alone in her small cottage with her cat Minerva, having given up plans to visit family. A young boy selling magic Christmas trees sells her one, and she soon begins to doze in her rocking chair. Walter Denton and the Conklins drop by, and later Mr. Boynton arrives with a gift. Mr. Conklin is also a visitor in this comedy episode of Our Miss Brooks, which aired on CBS Radio on December 25, 1955. Eve Arden, Gale Gordon, Jeff Chandler and Richard Crenna are the lead actors.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
