What happens
Miss Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High School, spends Christmas Eve alone in her apartment with her landlady's cat, Minerva, after her plans with friends and Mr. Boynton fall through. A young peddler sells her a small Christmas tree that seems to glow, and her quiet evening turns into a string of visits from her students and friends. Our Miss Brooks is a comedy series on CBS Radio, and this Christmas episode, first broadcast on December 25, 1949, stars Eve Arden with Gale Gordon, Jeff Chandler and Richard Crenna.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
