What happens
Miss Connie Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High School, is preparing for the holiday season while dealing with her irritable principal, Mr. Conklin. Her landlady, Mrs. Davis, gathers children's letters to Santa Claus for a department store contest. Connie begins her own errands, and a series of mix-ups involving a cigar, a fellow teacher, and her friend Walter Denton complicates the day. Our Miss Brooks was broadcast on CBS Radio on December 18, 1949, starring Eve Arden, with Gale Gordon, Jeff Chandler, and Richard Crenna in the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
