What happens
Our Miss Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High School, finds the school's classrooms and facilities far too cold after the holidays. Over a single Friday she tries to persuade the principal, Mr. Conklin, to approve new spending. Along the way she is pressed by Walter Denton, the basketball team manager, and by Harriet Conklin, the principal's daughter, each with their own complaint about the heating. Miss Brooks also visits biology teacher Mr. Boynton, whose laboratory animals are suffering in the chill. The episode is a 1949 CBS Radio broadcast from the Our Miss Brooks series, with Eve Arden in the title role, and Gale Gordon and Jeff Chandler among the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
