What happens
Our Miss Brooks substitutes for an ill civics teacher and finds herself chaperoning Madison High School's Student Government Day, when students hold city offices for a day. Miss Brooks, an English teacher, and her colleague Mr. Boynton, a biology teacher, are caught up in the day's events while principal Mr. Conklin frets over the students' demands. Walter Denton, newly elected police chief, pushes Miss Brooks into a raid on a slot machine warehouse, and their adventure lands the students in jail. The episode was broadcast by CBS Radio on January 16, 1949, starring Eve Arden, Gale Gordon, Jeff Chandler and Richard Crenna.
