What happens

Our Miss Brooks, the English teacher at Madison High School, is invited to a New Year's Eve party by the new French teacher, Mr. Monet, and his wife Elaine. The guests must bring old clothes to donate to people in France. Connie searches her wardrobe and her landlady's, Mrs. Davis, for something suitable, while her date Mr. Boynton is pulled into the plans. Her search leads her to the Conklin household, where the principal's old evening suit becomes a focus. This is the 1949 episode of the Our Miss Brooks series, broadcast on CBS Radio on January 2, 1949, with Eve Arden in the title role and Gale Gordon, Jeff Chandler and Richard Crenna among the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
