What happens
Miss Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High, becomes involved when Walter Dutton, the basketball team's manager, pushes for a new student, Tex Barton, to join the team before the big game against Clay City. Principal Osgood Conklin reacts badly to the newcomer, and Miss Brooks hopes to smooth things over.
