What happens

Connie Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High School, hopes to spend an evening alone with Philip Boynton, a biology teacher she is fond of, after her rival Daisy Enright has been seeing him. Her landlady Mrs. Davis arranges a barbecue in the backyard, and Connie invites Mr. Boynton, but a double-booking leads to confusion. Our Miss Brooks, from the OTRR collection of single episodes, first aired on CBS Radio on May 7, 1950. Eve Arden stars as Connie Brooks, with Gale Gordon and Jeff Chandler among the cast. The episode's comedy grows as the school's principal, Mr. Conklin, and his daughter Harriet, along with Walter Denton, become involved in the evening's plans.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
