What happens
Miss Brooks, a high school English teacher at Madison High, and her colleagues learn rumors that Principal Osgood Conklin is about to be dismissed. Believing he is destitute, they set up a laundry business in his home to help him and his family get by. Their well-meaning scheme lands them in an awkward situation when Mr. Stone, the president of the Board of Education, arrives at the Conklin house to inspect it for an important social visit. The episode is from the Our Miss Brooks series, starring Eve Arden, Gale Gordon, Jeff Chandler and Richard Crenna, and originally aired on CBS Radio on September 11, 1955.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
