What happens

Connie Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High School, wants a date with biology teacher Philip Boynton, who has joined the volunteer fire department and is practicing for a ladder rescue test. The series, Our Miss Brooks, is a CBS Radio comedy from September 17, 1950, starring Eve Arden, Gale Gordon, Jeff Chandler and Richard Crenna. The plan depends on getting Conklin out of the house, and his daughter Harriet is forbidden to see Walter.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
