What happens
Miss Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High School, hears rumors that principal Osgood Conklin may be dismissed as the new term begins. Her friends Mr. Boynton and Walter Denton share her concern. Conklin appears to be struggling, and his daughter Harriet is also worried. Miss Brooks and her friends try to help him by taking in laundry to raise money for his family. The plan leads to a series of mix-ups, and the situation draws the attention of the school board. This episode of Our Miss Brooks, a CBS Radio comedy first broadcast on September 10, 1950, stars Eve Arden, with Gale Gordon, Jeff Chandler and Richard Crenna in the principal roles.
