What happens
Connie Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High, takes a temporary job at the Board of Education during Easter vacation to earn money for a powder blue dress she wants to wear in the Easter parade. She works alongside her colleagues, including Walter Denton and Mr. Boynton, and each of them is also working to buy new clothes. The Our Miss Brooks episode, first broadcast on CBS Radio on April 17, 1949, stars Eve Arden as Miss Brooks, with Gale Gordon and Jeff Chandler in the cast. The story follows her money worries, the paycheck deductions that cut into her earnings, and the preparations for a family Easter egg hunt at Mrs. Davis's house.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
