What happens
Miss Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High School, oversleeps after agreeing to be woken early for principal Mr. Conklin's voluntary morning calisthenics plan. Her landlady Mrs. Davis tries to help, but a series of late-night telephone calls, including one from Conklin's daughter Harriet and another from Walter Denton, keeps interrupting her rest. Miss Brooks must face the consequences of her absence and the principal's punishment. This is an episode of the Our Miss Brooks series, first broadcast on CBS Radio on April 10, 1949, starring Eve Arden, Gale Gordon, Jeff Chandler and Richard Crenna.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
